Welcome to my site!

My name is Cheyenne Buckingham. I am a health enthusiast, avid long distance runner, and journalist.

Currently, I am the news editor at Eat This, Not That! where I report on new studies, take a deep dive into health and science-related topics, and write about trending food products and appliances. I have the pleasure of interviewing registered dietitians, doctors, chefs, and even food policy experts for my stories.

I attended the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism where I wrote and edited dozens of articles for Backdrop magazine. I have also contributed to Edible Columbus, Southeast Ohio magazine, and Prevention.com. Before coming back to Eat This, Not That! I was a feature writer for 24/7 Wall St. where I worked with data to create stories for the food, health, and lifestyle sections.

As a genuinely curious individual, I feel compelled to tell people's stories, especially those who have yet to be in the limelight. I enjoy writing about people who have endured the unthinkable or created something so ingenious that it would be utterly shameful for their stories to go untold.

I also share a similar passion for stories pertaining to health. After many years of struggling with an eating disorder, I hit the books and did my research on how I could lead a healthy lifestyle. Today, I strive to educate and inspire others to do the same.

My skills go beyond writing stories, however. I have experience with SEO strategy, working within content management systems and Excel, and writing copy for social media.

In addition to journalism, I enjoy doing stand-up comedy, writing screenplays, reading, running marathons, and practicing yoga.
