I am a health enthusiast, avid traveler, and journalist.

I’m a Brooklyn-based health journalist, editor, and content strategist with more than a decade of experience covering health, wellness, fitness, and travel. I specialize in translating complex medical research into engaging, accessible stories. While I cover a lot of topics, I specialize in women's hormonal and sexual wellness, musculoskeletal health, chronic condition management, disability advocacy, nutrition, fitness, and injury prevention.

My bylines can be seen in U.S. News & World Report, Washington Post, EatingWell, HealthCentral, Goop, GQ, Glamour, Condé Nast Traveler, Business Insider, SELF, and Everyday Health, just to name a few. I also contribute writing, editing, and strategy services to health and wellness brands, including Alloy Health, Hinge Health, Nike, Biograph, and Informa TechTarget.

Before going freelance in November 2024, I played a role in shaping several editorial teams and health content strategies. As the Senior Health Editor at Hone Health, I oversaw health and longevity coverage for The Edge, managed a junior on-staff writer and a robust stable of freelance writers, and built a 30-person medical review board. Before that, I was a Staff Editor on Nike’s Organic Growth content team, where I managed the health and styling content verticals and worked with a network of freelance writers to create SEO-driven stories around fitness, recovery, nutrition, and style tips. Earlier in my career I covered breaking health, nutrition, and food news as Senior News Editor at Eat This, Not That!

My specialty? Making complicated or underrepresented health subjects easier to understand. Whether I’m investigating healthcare disparities across the U.S., exploring why certain symptoms seem to emerge exclusively during life stages like menopause, or learning how people navigate chronic conditions or disabilities in a world that wasn’t designed for them to thrive, I gravitate toward stories that require me to dig deeper. Rarely does a subject feel too complicated or challenging to tackle. In fact, the more complex the story, the more motivated I am to give it everything I’ve got.

I also love covering travel stories as time allows. I'm especially interested in the intersection of exploration and wellness, covering destinations and experiences that offer a sense of adventure while supporting mental and physical well-being.

When I’m not writing or editing at home, you can probably find me running around Brooklyn or Central Park, lifting heavy weights at the gym, catching up with friends at a restaurant or cocktail bar, reading magazines at a cafe, or boarding a plane.

TV appearances

I wrote a story for The Washington Post about a new study that explores self-expansion theory and how that might affect personal growth during singlehood. I also appeared on NBC News NOW to discuss the findings and what they mean for single adults. You can read the full story here.
